The founder and owner of McGuinness Commercial Properties, McGuinness is a native of St. Augustine, graduating from St. Josephs Academy.  He is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management and has been actively involved in real estate development and sales since 1974.  Prior to starting his own company in 1994, McGuinness was top sales producer of a large commercial real estate company in Jacksonville.  He was Vice President of St. Johns Vision, Inc. and Past President of the Chamber of Commerce and the Committee of 100 (now Economic Development Council).  McGuinness is also Past Chairman of the Industrial Development Authority of St. Johns County, has served on the Board of Flagler Health Services, Inc. for Flagler Hospital, and is an active Rotarian.

Marc Jacalone

Jacalone is a lifelong resident of St. Johns County and a graduate of First Coast Technical College. He has observed development trends for more than 25 years and served as the St. Johns County Commissioner for District 3 from 1996 to 2004. He has extensive knowledge of County regulations with respect to zoning, concurrency, and development. Marc achieved membership in the Coldwell Banker Circle of Distinction in 2005 and 2006 as a national top producer. He recently received his Commercial Broker Associate license and is a CCIM candidate. In addition Marc has been the owner of an auto service business in the County since 1981. Marc is an avid fisherman and holds the Northeast Florida Marlin Association record with a 625 pound blue marlin caught in 1995.

Don Patrick

A St. Johns County resident for 28 years, Patrick joined the McGuinness Commercial Properties commercial real estate team after 13 years with the St. Augustine & St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce where he was President. While with the Chamber he actively recruited new businesses to relocate to St. Johns County, and assisted many existing businesses in their growth, and worked at the state and county levels with government agencies to develop a more favorable development climate.

Patrick graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Immediately after graduation he became a pilot in the Air Force and served two tours in Vietnam. He left the Air Force after five years to go into business. His business experience includes ten years with the Bendix Corporation and seven years owning his own business. Patrick initiated many important programs in St. Johns County including St. Johns Vision, the Leadership St. Johns training program, and the Great St. Johns County Fair, and has served on numerous Boards, including the First Coast Technical Center, Blood Center of St. Johns, and Hospice. In addition Patrick was recently recognized as a national top producer in commercial real estate.

John Peterson

John Peterson was brought up in the commercial real estate environment. His family has been investing in real estate in St. Johns County for more than 50 years. John was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and has been living in St. Augustine for 12 years. He attended the University of Georgia before graduating from Flagler College with a degree in business in 2002.  Since completing college John has been actively working in the St. Augustine/St. Johns County real estate market in both residential and commercial development.  John joined the team at McGuinness Commercial Properties in 2006 and is currently focused on “Bank Owned Properties” and “Short Sales”.
